Vital Signs are the key signs that are used to evaluate the patient's initial general condition.
Below you will find vital signs ranges for different ages.
Respiration Rate Ranges
Age Respirations (Breaths/Min)
Newborn: 0 to 1 month 40 to 60
Infant: 1 month to 1 year 30 to 60
Toddler: 1 to 3 years 24 to 40
Preschool-Age: 3 to 6 years 22 to 34
School-Age: 6 to 12 years 18 to 30
Adolescent: 12 to 18 years 12 to 16
Over 18 years 12 to 20
