Commissioner La Belle has held a seat on the Livingston County Board of Commissioners since 1969. He is currently the Vice Chair of the Board of Commissioners. As a member of this Board, Commissioner La Belle is chairman of the Finance Committee.  In addition, he serves on the Infrastructure & Development, Debt Management, Public Safety/Judiciary and East/West Master Plan Committees.

Commissioner La Belle represents District 9, which includes: all of Green Oak Township and Precinct 5 of Brighton Township.
