The Livingston
County Department of Public Health (LCDPH) Immunization Clinic
provides vaccines for children, teens and adults. Our clinic
is a walk-in clinic and does not make appointments. The clinic is open on
Wednesdays only
from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., with extended hours on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday
of the month until 7:00 p.m.
LCDPH participates in the Vaccine for Children (VFC) program that
covers the cost of the vaccine for children who are eligible for the
program. Children age birth through 18 years are eligible for
the VFC program if they:
- have Medicaid insurance (Medicaid will be billed)
- do not have health insurance
- have American Indian or Alaska Native
- have health insurance that does not cover the cost of the
vaccination.
LCDPH also has special programs that may pay for certain vaccines
for adults 19 years and older who are uninsured or underinsured.
(Helping Adults Pay for Vaccines)
An administration fee of $16.75 will be charged for each vaccine for
children and adults eligible for the VFC and special adult vaccine
programs. Fees may be adjusted depending on ability to pay.
LCDPH does not bill commercial insurance companies. If you
have private insurance, you should check with your health insurance
provider for possible immunization benefit coverage. Adults
and children with private insurance coverage can receive vaccines,
but will be charged the cost of the vaccine in addition to the
vaccine administration fee. The administration fee for private
vaccine is $20.00 per vaccine received for adults and $16.75 per
vaccine received for children.
We may be able to bill Medicaid and Medicare B for adults depending
on their type of coverage and vaccines requested. Please call
for more information.
TB skin tests are done on Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
on a walk-in basis. You must return to the Health Department
after 48 hours to have the test read. There is a charge
of $20.00.
